Cameron Elijah Reddish was born on September 1st, 1999 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Reddish is the son of former VCU basketball player Robert Reddish. Reddish was a five-star recruit that was considered one of the top three players in the country by a number of major recruiting sites. He won two state championships during his high school basketball career at Westtown high school.

Reddish attended Duke University to play his college ball. After just one season, Reddish declared for the NBA. He was selected 10th overall by the Atlanta Hawks during the 2019 NBA Draft.

High School Career (Westtown School)

Cam Reddish began his high school basketball career playing at The Haverford School in Haverford, Pennsylvania. After his freshman year, Reddish transferred to Westtown School in West Chester, Pennsylvania, just outside of Philadelphia. A future five-star recruit himself, Reddish was now teamed up with a 2017 five-star recruit and current NBA player, “Mo” Bamba.

During his junior year, Reddish averaged 16.2 points per game. He led his team to a Friend’s School League title. In his senior season, Reddish bumped his scoring average up to 22.6 points per game to go along with 5.6 rebounds per game. He was named Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball in 2018. He won two state titles during his high school basketball career.

College Career (Duke)

Cam Reddish was a five-star recruit coming out of high school. He was ranked as one of the top players in the country by numerous scouting sites. Reddish made his commitment to play at Duke University.

In his collegiate debut, Reddish dropped 22 points during a Duke route over Kentucky 118-84. He played in a total of 36 games for Duke in his only season, averaging 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. He shot 33 percent from the three-point range as well.

Following the completion of his freshman season, Reddish officially declared for the 2019 NBA Draft on April 11, 2019.

NBA Career

Cam Reddish was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. He made his NBA debut on October 24th, 2019. As a starter in that game, Reddish scored just one point but had seven rebounds to go along with one assist and one steal in a victory over the Detroit Pistons.

Reddish played in 58 games, starting 34, during the 2019-2020 NBA season before the Coronavirus pandemic put the season on hold. He averaged 10.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
