Once when his coach was asked what his position was he answered, "Rover." He is a defender who has almost instantaneous direction changing ability, as he fluidly moves around the sheet with high end puck handling skills and is really intuitive in where he chooses to send it. A highly deceptive puck carrier who will first elude forecheckers with tight spin moves and then make a lateral jump cut at full speed and is on from pressure. He needs work on his defensive recognition and awareness around the net and battle harder when in the corners. Let's just say the team that selects him is doing so because they see his influence every shift on the attack. A 5 star general on the power play where he acts as both triggerman using his wicked point blast or his vision and distribution skills as the QB. It is difficult for me to think his size along side his current 33 goal-96 points in 66 games pace downsizes his value as a future NHLer. He is taller than Quint Hughes. He displays excellent gaps, closes well and is not a defensive deficit, even though he will never thought off as a dominant defensievplayer; his bread and butter is his strong perimeter shot, and his ability to wheel through the attack zone and whose movement gets the opposition puck watching. This is a prospect who just might surpirse many with his name being called earlier than some of the high level group of defense prospects. I am hoping this prospect whose ethnic background is half Korean - half Indian goes early and eventually makes a big NHL splash.
