Yegor Surin

Big multi-skilled centre-forward with a high hockey IQ, a determined and physical game. A strong forechecker and backchecker with excellent North-South speed who passionately creates space, and uses his puck skills to start the attacks. Always keeps his feet moving, and is another Russian who can blow by defenders in two strides. Controls the puck well at high speed. On the attack, he is patient and cerebral, looking to make smart puck decisions. Gets great snap win his hard, accurate shot. He would be even more difficult to contain if he had a little more lateral agility and wiggle. Some might see his passion and edge that sometimes lead to penalties as a negative, but I see that aspect as a trait that can be built upon positively and I see him as possible NHLer.  He pairs size and speed with a great shot and passion for the game.
