Thomas Desruisseaux

A poised undersized centre with a terrific skating stride, acceleration, and vision which allows him to be a competent forechecker and a good offensive creator. He waits for his openings and gets most of his passes to the blades of his teammates. Shifty and agile, and plays at a high pace and has a burst that can propel him gaining the corner on the defender to the net. His hands are good in tight. Has the speed to separate from his check but isn't strong enough to take the puck to the middle consistently. Usually defers on shooting when pressured, preferring to dish it, and has good touch on his passes. Desperately needs to bulk up, as he has zero upper body strength. He is another long term development forward whose chances to climb the hockey ladder weigh heavily on his gaining muscle and strength in his entire body and continues to receive good coaching in doing so.
