This season has been a dud offensive production wise for Molendyk, who has a strong combination of push the pace skating, puck skills, power play QB prowess and a strong shot he is more athn willing to fire from the PP point. He simply should be more dynamic offensively and once that reign loosens, maybe we finally see what he has got in the offensive arsenal. Here is what is unique in his game: he is the best rush defender in the entire class. He denies some entries to the point where he denies more entires and his team does far less defending in their end. There is something there that NHl teams can work with. Helped himself, draft-wise for than any other defender in attendance displaying his mobility, gap control, and strong rules on the power play. Solid on both ends, his team seemed to control play as he lead them on the ice. sees, diagnoses and solves very quickly.
