There is a lot of apprehension when this soon to be Fargo USHL defender decided to go back to Shattuck of St. Marys prep school as he has only been seen in higher levels of competition and that was two games with the Youngstown Phantoms. Scouts may consider the prep school league as a large step down and it will most certainly effect their evaluations, because they already seen that and to gauge his game through the higher competitors in the USHL. At Shattuck, Morrow had little need to challenge himself in a league he clearly a cut above the talent there. A leader on his team, a shutdown defender, high velocity passer and effective, an elite skater in all areas of the ice, size and the two way game of a NHL prospect. He moves pucks and can effectively quarterback a power play. Displays high hockey IQ and sense, a good reach and stick to make plays in three zones. Neutralizes and forces turnovers strong pokechecks. Smooth in movements, and can turn on a dime, and a team sending a scout to see him in Shattuck may see all this in a level of competition doesn’t result in undistinguished play with the lower competition. He will be off the board late in the first or before the second round ends. Committed to the University of North Dakota.
