The heir apparent to the top pivot's spot on the USA World Junior Development team. As most USA-DT players, he displays excellent feet, movement and balance. A prospect who wants the puck on his stick when the game is on the line. Excellent straight ahead speed, and a smart lateral mover, whose weaves take him through the defensive layers, getting defenders to attempt to engage him, putting them out of their areas. Possesses blazing speed with an explosive burst and separation gear. Very slippery puck carrier who can make defenders miss, giving him room to unload his booming one timer. Has great edging and acceleration out of his turns. On the power play, he likes to set up on the right half wall. He is elusive and skilled as natural goal scorer who uses his pistons to back up defenders off the blue line, to gain zone entry. He is an underrated passer and playmaker whose stick seems to always be in shooting position, or ready for puck advancement. Doesn't need time or space to cradle or stop pucks before he shoots. Has an an offensive mindset, and is a natural goal scorer. He played at Totino-Grace High School, is committed to play at the University of Minnesota, where he will work on improving his zone responsibilities.
