A smaller right shooting centre with offensive skill, soft hands, a quick hands and above average puck handling ability. Good in open ice at beating defenders one on one. A good passer, and a very good zone entry player. A quick skater who can slip out of the heavy traffic areas. Was not positively noticed in the World Juniors U-18, where he was knocked off pucks or down to the ice because he has little or no upper body strength, and the smaller ice surfaces magnified his inability to function in less space and time he was used to in Finland.
