Niilopekka Muhonen

A huge young blue liner with stength and a decent offensive game. Handles the puck with confidence and moves up into the play, creating odd man rushes. Decent on offensive zone possessions as he can aggressive pinch down the wall or make good keep ins to extend possession time and accuse more pressure. Is very mobile and will walk the offensive blue line looking for space. He has the ability defensively to stick with quick forwards down low in coverage. Plays a big role on the penalty killing unit, getting pucks out and keeping the crease clear. You would like to see him take more advantage of his size and strength. Was a bit disappointment in the Hlinka-Gretzky tournament his puck moving decisions against strong forechecking end in disaster. A size-skill-skating package that will get some teams attention in the top 100.
