Huge German defender with a strong two-way game and a willingness to take the body whenever the opportunity occurs. Will get stronger and is still growing into his frame. Cemented his status as a possible first rounder after his performance in the B-pool of the World Junior U-20. A defender who can play big minutes shoulder the responsibilities in all phases, due to his maturity. Displays a strong under control game with strong hockey smarts. Not a burner or offenseman type, but makes the transition outlet pass and is comfortable carrying the mail out of his end. Has a strong accurate shot. At this juncture, he might not look like a first pair NHL defender offensively or a first pair PP QB, but there is plenty here to like, and good be a value sleeper taken mid-first round
