Left Shooting Russian Defenseman who is a dynamic skater with a season in the MHL (top Russian juniors) under his belt, scoring 35 points in 54 games. An typical sized "new age defennceman" except this one is so exceptionally gifted and in control in his end that as he eludes forecheckers and is able to use his deceptive change of pace as a defensive weapon to close on opposing attackers. Arguably the best attacking defenseman in the class. Explosive off his blocks and aggressively dangerous setting the tone for his team's attack. In transition from his end he quickly breaks the puck out, whether it is the long home run pass or the with short breakouts. He can handle forechecking pressure after get specs back, but prefers to pass it out than chance his carry to turn it over. Terrific as a power play quarterback who walks the blue line to get the penalty-killers moving. His puck carries are mixed with change of pass skating strides and has no qualms about starting a rush and then finishing the attack itself. One of the best attacking defenders in the draft.
