At first glance, Massé strikes you as an excellent prospect, one with hockey smarts, excellent physique, and super quick release. After the 2022-23 season, he probably would have been categorized as a natural scorer, who is lethal from the circles in. He started off slow in the Q this season, but got back to a pace well over a point per game. Not the fastest, but seems to always end up in areas he can be an impact. He is big kid who has a physical dimension, and whose feet are able to take him lateral if he needs to, but is basically an above average North-South skater. Displays a soft touch and knows how to get to the soft areas to dish or shoot. Above average in most areas but not superior in any one. It will be his size and ability to improve his booths that decides his value to NHL scouts, as he still needs to be more aware in his defensive positioning. He has been averaging two points a game since mid January.
