In his first year in Windsor, he lead all rookies in goal scoring in the CHL. Being surrounded by a strong veteran team helped. In August he was part of the Canadian Glinka-Gretsky Cup team that won the gold. He projects as an aggressive power forward who attacks the middle of the ice and funnels pucks to the net. His North-South skating includes a power stride, but little lateral capability or finesses. Despite the lack of wiggle, he quickly gets on the forecheck and causes problems and giveaways to opposing defensemen as he countiously grinds away at them. Has soft hand for a big man and is a natural score who can rifle the puck while playing off-handed right wing on the top line. Displays high hockey IQ despite the lack of high end gears, he find open areas so teammate can get the puck to him. He is always a threat in the attack zone as a deft passer and exhibits a quick release. Continues to try and add more willingness to use his size and engage in more puck battles. His scoring ability was on display in the CHL Prospect game, where he potted a goal. Turned 18 n January 1st.
