Jayson Shaugabay

Small (under 5' 10) centre-right wing with puck skills, quickness, and soft hands. Sure there is work needed on the over-all details of his game, like his judgement while possessing the puck and his work when he doesn't have it. He has excellent vision, playmaking skills with his passes that bring grade A chances. But he is small, and that will be the big factor in where in the draft he gets his name called. He can evades sticks, defenders, while skating through traffic due to his skating balance and superior puck control while balancing between his inner and outer edges. He is patient in his carries, and has attributes that might see him eventually playing in the middle. He won the prestigious Mr. Hockey Award, given to the best high school hockey player in the state of Minnesota.
