In November 2021, he looked like the guy who was going to go second over all and be part of that top three tier, but was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
He looked like the best sniper in the draft. He a bit over 6 foot, 190lbs., but built like a tank when you watch him.
A excellent cool under pressure package of finesse and power. In the last three seasons, he has be a fabulous stud of a scorer, and terrific playmaker with good vision and long powerful strides straight ahed, and even better lateral agility on his pins. He captain the Russian U-17 and U-18 in his years, and showed superior stick handling phone booth style and plays like a much better guy, who can bulldoze his way through traffic, and I have seen him while on the wall, make sharp, sudden cuts exploding to the slot, or exploding to incoming loose pucks. Get heavy shots away lighting quick, and accurate. How power play one timer isa beauty and he rates as one of the top three finishers in the draft class.
You do have to wonder if many NHL teams have removed him completely from their draft lists. Corey Pronman says Miroshnichenko has been making positive progress in his fight against Hodgkin’s lymphoma and belief around league is he could still end up being a late day 1 pick or early day 2 pick.
