Under six foot right handed US born defenseman who was asked to hold back and play a more defensive role in the Hlinka - Gretsky Cup. Stocky workhorse who has dedicated time to build up his body, he is strong and poised in all three zones. There is still more for more muscle and weight. He has a well balance stride and up for the task of defending his zone. He is calm whether he is attempting to break out of his end or hit the outlet. He adept at reading what's in front of him and them taking the best option. this happens whether he is defending the rush, in the attack, zone or neutral zone - he surveys and then takes the option given. Is not a good long range shooter, so he prefers to pass on power plays which works in the opposition favor shrinking coverage to the down low pressure. Although he saw few opportunities on that power play of that Canada Junior team, he sees plenty power play chances with the Kitchener Rangers this season. Not flashy, just effective.
