USA development team player who can play center or wing at a high level. He is an excellent skater who has excellent speed on the forecheck and pressures puck carriers with how quickly he takes away space and time from them when he suddenly jumps up on them. Undersized Frankie Nazar is not only 200 feet fast, he is lighting quick, creative and radiates effort-wise. Like many successful Team USA developed forwards who end up with long NHL careers, he simply isn’t all that big. He settled in as a natural centre, but is be able to play any position on any line. Has top offensive hockey IQ and magic hands. Constantly around the puck. He will either hold pucks to create time and space for his wingers get open, or makes quicks feeds no one sees coming while in full flight. He can dial things up or slow them down, due to his tremendously quick feet and ability to change direction so quickly. He does things you can’t teach at top gear. If he loses the puck by one of his many risky moves, he goes and gets it back. Makes more than his share of risky plays that aren’t necessary with better puck management. He controls the puck while in constant motion, and make your jaw drop when he dishes it at top speed perfectly. A guy who plays. Committed to the University of Michigan.
