Evgeni Kashnikov

North American transfer from Russia to Gatineau of the QMJHL who say less than a dozen games (Eight) there this season, but was impressive in his size, muscle, mobility, and hockey smarts. A true dark horse in regards to exposure, but there is really good upside because he has the makings a strong two way game. He had played forward through his development and it shows in the way he attacks with the puck. He is very cerebral, confident, and patient, and although no one is bringing him up, it may be a smoke screen to add a big physical defender with offensive upside to their talent pool.
