Third-year eligible Russian defender who few have seem play until this last December's World Junior Under-20. He is big mobile defender with a strong two way game. Possesses a willingness to make contact with attackers, handle the puck in his end, and be the heavy point shot on their power play. (Note: The Russian coaching staff never sent out anything but their regular five man units on the power play, sending out whichever unit was suppose to jump over the boards next.) This guy has size, strength, and composure. Plays with a long stick and gets it in the passing lanes in his end.
