In 2021 Prince George finally traded veteran net minder Gauthier in order to allow Brennan to rectify the disservice he was done by riding pine instead of getting valuable experience between the pipes. In the two seasons prior, he only played in 19 matches. He still has a ways to go, but has shown he has some tools in place already. He is a very good at setting in his stance and quickly reaching out withe poke-check on in close attackers. He added a couple inches to his large frame which helps him cover the top part of the net while on his knees. Thwarts second chances by jumping on loose pucks. He also has an excellent lateral pad shuffle while on his knees. Also very good at pinning hard shots to his core. Strong long term candidate to get a shot at the NHL with continued work and development.
