His positioning 1-on-1 allows him to be very capable shutting down offense, while also allowing him the opportunity to deliver thunderous open ice hits. He does not shy away from physical play or from engaging attackers.
One of the underutilized elements to his game is his creativity in the o-zone, specifically with regards to his edge-work. He has the ability to stutter-step opposition using his good lateral mobility, opening up lanes to create plays. If he can harness that skill to play a 200ft game, he could be a hidden gem in this draft. Committed to U Wisconsin, he will have time to develop under a great program.
