Skinny Swedish puck carrying defenseman with good wheels, jump, and offensive touch. Displays a tremendous first step, very good hockey sense, a high panic point in his carries and poise. Needs muscle and girth on his frame, and improvement in his defensive play. A workhorse modern day attacking offenseman who was a major component in the 2022 World U-18 Swedish championship win. He has great hands and patience in his game in working the offensive zone. He is smart defensively, and I have to think his work as a defender will only improve as he has played up & down the various levels with Brynäs IF J18,Brynäs, IF J18 (National), Brynäs IF J20, and a dozen games with Brynäs IF in the SHL pro league. It should be noted that although he saw time on the power play during Hlinka-Gretzky Cup, they seemed to funneling the set-ups to right side QB Axel Sandin-Pellikka. This doesn't in any way denigrate Lindstein's excellent positioning, defensive zone exits and passes out of his end. Although not all that physical a defender, his positioning aids in snuffing out plays as does his active stick. And there is evidence he can maintain puck control and be poised while waiting to set up looks on offense. He uses his strong stick and picks his spots. He's a smooth skater with top end quickness and agility who cam skate away from pressure and quickly get back to full throttle speed. Never rushed and sees the entire ice on the power play from the top of the umbrella and distributes the puck remarkably well.
