A WHL rookie who was the surprise on the rise forward there, starting the season with 12 goals and 18 points in the first 8 games and is at 27 goals -62 points in mid January. He is an opportunist - an incredibly smart finisher. His individual play building and two way play is still raw, as he still defers to teammates due to his rookie status. He has the poise to hold on to the puck that extra second to get goalies to show their intentions and then let's go a sniper's shot. Seems to have instincts that cannot be taught. Has a feel and hasn't lost it, s he gets to the correct areas at the right times. Displays a strong perimeter one-timer, and strong wrister, and nice touch in his passes. Gets to the front for tip-ins, backdoor tap ins and is fearless while camped in front. The team that selects him in the first round get a player who will bring high reward with very little risk. His development has taken off.
