Big right shot rearguard with a heavy game and does his job in all areas. Plays a simple stay at home style with little to no flash, a “less is more” player. Makes a nice first pass, battles to get pucks out of his end, and does the dirty work in front of his net. Production numbers don’t give the correct picture with him - He’s got vision and skill to be more of an offensive contributor. Average feet that don’t get exposed. Good Stick and ability to close off oncoming rushers by keeping good spacing and closes gaps hard, looking for contact. He is a trustworthy player due to his effective defending and an ability to make hard, simple, and correct play with the puck on his stick.
