After being selected fairly early by Regina in the CHL import draft, the Covid-19 has changed his plan to join the Dub for some North American hockey orientation, and he hasn’t stood out so far with Brno. We did get to view his game as he was part of the Czech Republic's Under-20 team at the World Junior. He seemed to have added muscle, increased his strength as he was good in puck battles along the wall. This strong mobile offense defenseman held up well the entire tournament, with aggressive carries through tough forechecking pressure. Displayed some aggressive play at both ends. But in the Under-18 tourney, he should little assertiveness in this competition, basically displaying high end anticipation, and activating whenever her could but not showing much physicality. A very smart two-way defenseman who is incredible defensively and in transition, he has a good offensive skill set and four-way mobility. He QB-ed the power play from on top the umbrella showing good distribution skills and vision. While in possession of the puck, he will spin sharply, space pressure and start spice, or make the long stew pass through the neutral zone. Is he an NHL power play quarterback threat and zone entering puck moivers/ There are questions as to whether he can have as much success offensively as future NHLer, but I am certain there will be a team calling his name at the microphone to find out. Projects to an upside for a #3 defenseman.
