Ultra-involved big defender with good footwork, a strong skill set, big-time one-timer, and strong hitter. Reads and reacts in all zones. Cool when possessing the puck in his end, he remains calm and makes crisp passes in transition, steps up in the neutral zone to unearth loose pucks and quickly reverses the flow with his dishes. Displays good feet, uses his tight cuts to win races to the puck. A shooting defenseman who is a power play general, and crisp puck mover. Was one of  the younger players at the Four Nations Tourney and this aggressive gangly kid confidently lead his club from the back end with poise and confidence. In the World Junior Challenge, he stepped into. more than a few puck carriers and ended ememy possessions. Can make cross body passes, and quickly step up in tight space. There is much to like about his strong overall game.
