Smooth firm handed left centre with compact stride, clean edging, and good footwork. High hockey IQ and he keeps his head on a swivel, reading the ice prior to the reception of the puck, planning his path on the attack. Follows the flow, finds the soft areas and easy changes direction if there is a puck turnover. the opposition has a tough time trying to get the puck from him. In turn, he will use his body to leverage the opposing puck carrier and head up ice with his new possession. There is a lot to like, and no player has made as much of a jump in the ranks as him, after the start up. Had 12 points in the six playoff games he was in, shows good neutral anticipation and reads, quickness, and poise with the biscuit.
