You may accuse him of defensive miscues and erratic play, but he made a decent argument as to why an organization might be interested after his twelve point World Junior U-18. He was the clear straw that stirred the Swedish team’s power play. Son of former NHLer Niclas, he is a terrific skater with East-West mobility, and speed. Has a really good skill set. Strong puck mover who quickly decides on his option and gets a crisp pass to the teammate. If he sees no options, he will carry it himself and join the rush. Very smooth when he has the puck, and showed great timing with sneaking up behind the play and letting his bomb of a shot. Defensively, he chased down odd rushes, and competed well all around. His size causes struggles in many puck battles, and it does lead to turnovers. Has a good head for the play and there may be upside.
