Matthew Mackie Samoskevich

Another promising Chicago Steel centre-wing who is an effective player in all three zones. He spent part of the winter injured and missing games, but prior was an every night multiple game producer was was at the top of the scoring lists. Really smart and thinks ahead of the play. Has an excellent quick first step that brings space for his team and himself. He wants the puck on huis stick, wants to control the pace with his touches. Really tenacious forechecker on the puck in his end. He relentlessly challenges the opposing player who has the puck and takes away passing lanes with his active stick. I had questions as to whether he would continue his production after so many notable graduations from lat year's roster, but he has shown more than enough for me to be assured he may go earlier than my slotting.
