Latvian goalie who, in the World Juniors, saw an avalanche of quality opposition shots, but continued to battle and keep his team in the games. Athletic and flexible, he has the ability to push off either skate in his resets and go cross-crease. Gave too many rebounds and his glove hand is still a work in progress.
