Big defender who uses his size when needed but isn’t an overly aggressive. Plays with a calm demeanor in his end, plays on the power play and can play the off side as well as his natural left. Likes to carry the puck and has a nice stride that enables him to go deep in the offensive zone with it or pass it off and act as a odd man option. A powerplay quarterback, he displays a good point shot. Far from accomplished as a defenseman, he struggles in many aspects, some which are related to him needing to fill his frame out, but others are related to bad judgement when he has pucks in his end and overhandles. He has trouble olong the boards (which might be strength-related) and seems to go to panic mode if rushed and closed down on. Thius gifted skater will be given time to fix his defensieve inconsistencies.
