His solid first alf earned him an invitation to the CHL Top Prospects game. He has always been a a highly skilled player with good size. He was originally thought of a as top 5 OHL draft pick, but didn’t get selected until to the second round because his family demanded that whichever team selected him ALSO selected huis twin brother. Partially to blame was his inconsistent play and laziness on the sheet prior to his selection. Last season he had little impact for a player of his skill level and there were well founded concerns with his compete level. Maybe the trade of his brother lit a fire under him, or something else that served as a wake up call or partially contributed to his big jump in play. He is huge and has always had good finishing ability and is now proving he is a consistent creative force and mature player. While there will still many wary of his work ethic, all will be keenly interested if he will continue in his maturity and maximize his talent, but so far this 65 inch giant is a perimeter player and a ghost in the battle areas he needs to dominate in.
