Undersized centre-wing who continues to excude in drive, determination, and skill as he controls the play in the offensive zone. Stood out in the 2019-20 World Junior U-17s for Team Black. A strong North-South skater who is difficult to detail in mid-flight. Not shy of contact and will dish it back if the occasion fits. Though not the largest famed player, he willingly goes to battle along the boards and in the corners. Has a strong stride, good vision and an excellent shot. On the power play, he is a player with the chance to score on any loose puck between the circles or or in the slot. At this juncture, he is less of a playmaker than a well rounder generator. The jury is still out as to whether he has centre in his future, but will eventually get some time to show if he can win face-offs and puck battles as a pivot. He prefers being the recipient of puck for scoring chance than attempting to make hard passes to set up looks. Plays with natural core strength and and great balance on his edges. Has a fast stick, with terrific hand-eye co-ordination to handle mid-air pucks. Has a wicked shot and plays with a short stick so he can keep pucks close to his feet in high traffic areas. Good things do come in small packages in this draft!
