Left-handed defenseman who was named Minnesota's "Mr. Hockey." There are few weaknesses in his game as he plays controlled and disciplined with a high end hockey smarts. He always should the attack skills but has now evolved into a committed quick reacting mind your gap player who plays tough as he funnels them off to the side.In transition, he surveys options and sends tape to tape no look passes to teammates on the breakout. Can get lax and let up in the neutral in minding his gaps. Offensively able to read the action, pinch wisely. He has an excellent wrist shot with plenty behind it. It is accurate too, as he can pick the corners. A youngster with all the tools and toolbox to succeed, and few weaknesses in his game, as he climbs the competitive ladder. He projects as an NHL defenseman.
