Slippery centre whose game seemed to stall since the middle of last season, but has shown keen hockey sense and terrific touch before things stalled. Smart playmaker with good vision and elusiveness, due to good wheels and strong stop/starting ability. He seems more of a ste-up man than scorer and can help dictate terms on the powerplay. Not overly big but can play with grit and determination, and is better when he keeps his skates moving both in defensive mode and when cruising behind the opposing net on the attack. A solid season will get him back in scout’s sights.
