Kamloops is a team with a strong lineup that is stacked in front of this strongly built wing but he has taken up his secondary role well enough to see there might be bright years ahead. He keeps his head up in his carries scanning the ice for plays, and moves pucks before defenseman can close their gaps. Uses powerful sharp cuts to to force his way through tight space. He will shift into vertical skating lanes to jump past oncoming checks. It’s rare to see large junior forwards to be able to penetrate traffic as he does, knifing out front and powering to the net. He rubs men out on the boards. Handles hard passes, supports his pinching defenseman, and stays calm under pressure and can beat double coverages.
