Elliott Groenewald

Big Vermont born defender who has spent the last several season in Sherbrooke at Bishop’s College. Still raw, he has NHL attributes with his size, length, skating, and ability to advance pucks quickly. He did not play a lot at the Fall Classic, but when he did, he demonstrated enough potential as player to track for mid-to-late round selection. The Quinnipiac recruit appears to be on a trajectory to more earn more ice time and develop into a steady second pairing minutes and some power play time with Cedar Rapids this season and has the potential to break out next year.
