Was noticeable at the World Junior Under 20 at Christmas time, showed growth by the time he played in the World Junior Under-18. He sustained knee injury in the first game a the World Junior U-20 and the surgery ended his season as he missed the rest of his season due to injury but easily the best Czech player during the matches. Continues to grow as an on-ice leader and took charge at the backline, winning board battles, clearing the front, and continuing to show terrific mobility for a big man. Continues to develop as a puck carrier and guy who can make a crips outlet pass. The newest noticeable wrinkle is he played the entire tourney with a chip on his shoulder and a big mean streak when you got near his net front. He is a solid decision maker with the puck and is a creative attacker. He shoots low hard shots from the point. Has more room to fill out on his frame, but he already plays rugged and heavy pretense and initiates contact as often as possible. He is still developing both sides of his game and quick attackers with good dangle still cause him problems. Lots to like about this developing Czech defender.
