Daniel Torgersson

Big Finnish winger who moves well and is opprtunistic when the puck reaches him in open areas.  Needs to improve play without the puck and make better and quicker decisons when on the offense, whether it be utilizing his size in the offensive zone, drives to the net, and will force and occasionally penalty of defenders attempting to hold him up. He does get open and find seams, and has decent jump, but needs to improve his overall puckhanding and passing choices. Has improved his skating and stride, but still needs to improve his confidence as an offensive player.Has versatility to  move up and down the forward lines and play all three positions.He shields the puck in his carries  and can out muscle for space in the net area. He continues improving his shot, but needs to get softer hands in handling passes while in full flight. While playing for the Frölunda junior team in J20 SuperElite, he had 44 points in 39 games. Good developmental player who will need work as his six game pro tryout with the Frölunda HC pro team in the SHL, but, he will have to show that his long term abilities are not the reult of opprtunities to play with quality linemates you generate looks to him, or a guy who can stand alone as a offensive generator. Many of the other prospects from Finland have had much more experience in the SHL pro league, so his long term projection has a little less on the resume.
