Left defender with a long wing span, an active stick, and some physicality. Is considered a offense-first player, and has good touch and calm in his possessions up ice. Closes skating lanes gets in front of traffic to loose pucks. Will disrupt passing lanes and angle attackers to the wall in his end to prevent pucks from getting in deep to the net. Doesn’t rush himself in possession; takes a few strides and then finds a nice option up and out. Really hadn’t fulfilled the numbers scouts expected from him as an offensive attacking defender, so expect his selection to be one with the team taking him expecting a big improvement in production as he goes on. In early December, a freak accident in a game against the Edmonton Oil Kings saw Hunt get hit in the arm by a skate, leaving a deep laceration that took time to heal. This may affect where he gets his name called.
