Corey’s son and younger brother of Riley who plays in the Chicago Blackhawk's system, is an impressive package of speed, skill and hockey sense. Plays for his father’s Sudbury Wolves. Corey is the Wolve's head coach. Chase received no power play or penalty kill time with the team in his first year. Displays strong puck skills, effective edging, and defensive commitment. Doesn’t over-think his offensive side, sticking to more simple offensives plays, but more than willing to cause devastation with chains of rolling forechecks to take back pucks. Has excellent lateral movement and will pull off the wall quicker than the pile. Uses tight turns in scrums and will cutaway from the opposition while gliding away. Strong recognition and defensive commitments where he picks up the open man and gets between the attackers and his goalie. Works his bags off, and plays big. His open ice acceleration and and top gear will need some improvement. A trench type player who forced more ice time on a veteran OHL club. 2020 was his first OHL season and didn't miss a beat. Was a member of the Canada’s 2021 IIHF Under-18 World Championship team.
