This giant wing is a pretty decent skater whose technique and stride will have to be improved. A strong competitor who works the wall each and every shift. Has good recognition and knows to quickly get pucks on net when the shooting lane opens. Powers through the tight areas and if he adds a step, I see prototypical NHL power winger. Generates his own scoring chances and then finishes them Has a really hard shot. He finished the shortened season with 49 points in 49 games. Lacks that first step explosion and a top gear, but STILL succeeded in high paced situations. Long term project with really raw talent and ability who in time, may pan out, because he plays with urgency and may put in the time to clean up his skating deficiencies. Committed to Michigan Tech.
