Swedish defender with nice size, great physical attributes, and skates. Highly mobile and has high end acceleration ability, that allows him to close gaps and take care of business in his end. A terrific skater who wants the puck on his stick, but his great speed and terrific puck handling abilities often do not lead to great looks. These forays seem not well thought out, and end up as turnovers, as he either isn't seeing the entire ice or his teammates well enough to get them the biscuit. Is it a matter of him wanting to be a one man show I think at this point, he is just not seeing or understanding the intricacies of the sport. The same is true on the power play, where he will choose three point shots (that miss the net) over using his teammates. The "right stuff" is there; it will be a matter of coaching up his hockey head, instilling in him a larger on ice view and reactions, but that will take a little more developmental time, as he certainly has th feet and the skill if the wandering can be tempered.
