In his second season under a new coach in Bruce Arians, Jones strung together some solid performances. Overall, Jones finished his sophomore season with 172 carries for 724 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns, a marked improvement from the year before.
In his third season, Jones has performed well with Tom Brady as his new QB. In Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers, he had 23 carries for 113 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. In Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers, Jones exploded for a 98-yard touchdown, which was the longest play in franchise history.
