Nelson Agholor is a wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders. Agholor was born in Nigeria before coming to the United States when he was five years old. He grew up in the Tampa area and was a five-star recruit as a wide receiver. Agholor played college football at USC before being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015. In his sophomore season, Agholor became the team’s starting wide receiver. In 14 games, Agholor totaled 56 receptions for 918 yards and six touchdowns. He also returned two punts for touchdowns. As a senior, Agholor had his best collegiate season, totaling 104 receptions for 1,313 yards and 12 touchdowns. Agholor elected to forego his senior season and enter the 2015 NFL Draft.
Agholor was drafted with the 20th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. In his rookie season, Agholor appeared in 13 games, starting in 12. In his first three seasons, Agholor’s best statistical season came in year three despite only starting 10 games. He caught 62 passes for 768 yards and eight touchdowns, all career highs to that point. The Eagles went on to win their first Super Bowl in franchise history as well.
In 2018, Agholor started in all 16 games for the Eagles. He caught a career high 64 passes for 736 yards and four touchdowns. In 2019, Agholor only played in 11 games, resulting in a down season that saw him catch just 39 passes for 363 yards and three touchdowns.
Following the 2019 season, Agholor signed a one-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders. Agholor started in all 16 games for the Raiders. In his first year in Las Vegas, Agholor caught 48 passes for a career high 896 yards and eight touchdowns.
