Michael William Gesicki is a tight end who plays for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League. Gesicki has been a superb target for the quarterbacks in the Dolphins organization since he has arrived there. His ability to get open in the red zone and down the field have made him a valuable member of that organization.
Mike Gesicki went to Southern Regional High School in Stafford Township, New Jersey. He finished his high school career as the school’s all-time leading receiver. Gesicki caught 103 balls while there, including 16 touchdowns. He was deemed a three-star recruit and chose Penn State University for his college football career.
At Penn State, Gesicki saw an increased role in each of his four seasons. He started with 11 catches and no touchdowns in his freshman season. As a senior, Gesicki caught 57 balls and scored nine touchdowns, ending up on the John Mackey Award watchlist for that season.
Mike Gesicki was drafted in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins. After failing to get into the end zone in his first season with the team, Gesicki has racked up 11 touchdowns his second and third seasons with the team. He caught 50 balls or more in two of his first three years as a pro, and appears to be a promising tight end.
Gesicki signed a four-year, $6.6 million deal with the Miami Dolphins in 2018. That contract included a $2.9 million signing bonus. He is entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract, after which he should sign a bigger deal that will increase his net worth based on his performance so far in his career.
Mike Gesicki is the son of Michael Gesicki and Donna Gesicki. He is engaged to his girlfriend, Halle Proper, and does not have any children at this time.
