As a senior, Gordon rushed for over 2,500 yards and 29 rushing touchdowns, adding three receiving touchdowns as well. That season saw Gordon earn a number of accolades, including the Doak Walker Award and the Jim Brown Trophy. NFL Career

Each of the next four seasons saw Gordon score at least eight rushing touchdowns, as he was a key component of the Chargers’ offense.

Gordon left the Chargers after the 2019 season, as the teams were unable to agree to terms on a contract extension. Melvin Gordon Quotes

  • On playing in empty stadiums in 2020: “We didn’t have many Chargers fans at the game. I’m just going to be honest. We didn’t have many Chargers fans at the game. Much loyalty, love, but we didn’t have many. So I’m not missing anything.”
