Logan Thomas is a tight end for the Washington Football Team. Born In Lynchburg, Virginia, Thomas played both offense and defense for the Brookville High School football team. He began his career at quarterback, which is the position he played in college at Virginia Tech. Thomas was originally drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. After brief stints as a quarterback with the Cardinals, Miami Dolphins and New York Giants, Thomas switched to tight end in 2016. Eventually, Thomas ended up with the Washington Football team in 2020, where he has made a name for himself as one of the best receiving tight ends in the NFL.

Thomas had his best passing season in 2011. He threw for 3,013 yards, 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Thomas finished his collegiate career with 9,003 passing yards, 1,359 rushing yards and 76 combined touchdowns. He also threw 39 interceptions.
Thomas was the sixth overall quarterback drafted in 2014 when he was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth round (120th pick). Thomas made his NFL debut in October, following an injury to Drew Stanton. His first career completion was an 81-yard touchdown pass but was his only completion of the game. Thomas was eventually released by the Cardinals prior to the start of the 2015 season.
Thomas was claimed off of waivers the following day by the Miami Dolphins. He was eventually waived the following June. The New York Giants brough Thomas in and he was on and off of the team’s practice squad for months. He was released by the Giants in November of 2016.
Thomas officially switched from quarterback to tight end following his release from the Giants. He was eventually signed by the Detroit Lions later that month. On November 30, 2016, the Buffalo Bills signed Thomas off of the Lion’s practice squad. In two seasons with Buffalo, Thomas played in 24 games and caught 19 passes for one touchdown.
In March of 2019, Thomas was signed again by the Lions. He went on to play in all 16 games during the 2019 season. He had 16 receptions for 173 yards and one touchdown. Thomas was signed by the Washington Football Team in March of 2020. He had his breakout season in 2020 when he played in all 16 games and caught 72 passes for 670 yards and six touchdowns.
Thomas signed a two-year deal with the Washington Football Team in 2020 worth $6.15 million. He has earned over $7.5 million throughout his career and will earn almost $2.5 million in 2021. He has an estimated net worth of $3 million.
