Hayden Randle Hurst is a tight end who plays for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League. Hurst has seen a consistent increase in his production over the course of his career. In the process, he has become one of the more dangerous tight ends in the league for opposing defenses to deal with.
Hayden Hurst’s high school career took place at Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida. There, Hurst played football and baseball, originally looking like he was going to go the baseball route. But he reversed course, eventually walking onto the football team at South Carolina instead.
At South Carolina, hauled in 100 passes over three seasons including three touchdown catches. In his junior year, Hurst earned first team all-SEC honors for a season in which he caught 44 passes and scored two touchdowns. He elected to forego his senior season and enter the NFL Draft.
The Baltimore Ravens selected Hayden Hurst with the 25th pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. In his two seasons with the Ravens, he caught 43 passes and three touchdowns total. In 2020, he moved to the Atlanta Falcons, where he caught 56 passes and six touchdowns in one year with Matt Ryan as his quarterback.
Hayden Hurst signed a four year, $11 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens in 2018. That deal came with a signing bonus of $6.1 million.
Hayden Hurst is the son of Jerry and Cathy Hurst. He also has a sister, Kylie. His relationship status is not known at this time. He does charity work through the Hayden Hurst Family Foundation when not on the field.
