Davante Adams is a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers. He has been the Packers’ top receiver most of his career, which began in 2014 when he was drafted by Green Bay.

Davante Adams was a two-way starter for the Palo Alto Vikings football team. He led the team to a CIF state championship. In his senior season, he had 64 receptions for 1,094 yards and 12 touchdowns. As a cornerback, he had 44 tackles, two tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, an interception, and four passes defended.
Adams was also an excellent basketball player. He was considered a two-star recruit. Adams was recruited by California, Hawaii, San Diego State, and Fresno State.
Davante Adams elected to attend Fresno State. After redshirting his freshman season, Adams began his collegiate career in 2012. In his first career game, he had 118 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He finished 2012 with 102 receptions for 1,312 yards and 14 touchdowns, leading the Mountain West Conference in all three categories. Adams was a freshman All-American and the MWC Freshman of the Year.
In his second season, Adams led the nation with 131 receptions for 1,719 yards and 24 touchdowns. His 24 touchdowns were a MWC record and was fourth-most in a single-season in FBS history. He set Fresno State career records for receptions (233) and receiving touchdowns (38), despite the fact that he only played two seasons.
Adams announced that he would be forgoing his final two seasons and would enter the 2014 NFL Draft.
The Green Bay Packers selected Davante Adams with the 53rd overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. Adams set the Packers’ rookie record for receiving yards in a playoff game with 117. Adams' second NFL season was disappointing as he finished with just 50 receptions for 483 yards and one touchdown.
2016 was a breakout year for Adams. He finished 2016 with 75 catches for 997 yards and 12 touchdowns (second-most in the NFL). In 2017, injuries limited Adams to just 14 games. However, he was named to his first Pro Bowl and a spot on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018. He signed a four-year extension on December 29, 2017.
Adams’ 2018 season was his best to date. He finished with 111 receptions for 1,386 yards, despite only playing in 15 games. In 2019, he missed four games due to turf toe. He posted a franchise playoff record 160 receiving yards in the Divisional Round against the Seattle Seahawks.
Adams got off to a hot start in 2020, opening the season with 14 receptions (tying a franchise record). Through eight games, Adams is on pace to set career highs in receptions, yards and touchdowns.
Davante Adams signed a four-year, $58 million contract extension at the end of 2017. He currently has an estimated net worth of $49 million.
Adams has an endorsement deal with Nike. In 2020, he was added to the Jordan Brand team.
Davante Adams is married to his wife Devanne. They have one daughter named Deija who was born in 2019.
